Summer Food Service Program Begins June 1

Central York School District will provide FREE meals to students 18 and under from June 1 through August 5 as part of the Summer Food Service Program. 

Meals will be distributed from 12-1PM every Monday and Wednesday at three locations: Hayshire Elementary School, Stony Brook Elementary School and the York Learning Center. 

Extra bagged meals will be provided during distribution to cover breakfast and lunch each weekday. Menus will be provided on the District website,, prior to the start of the program.

School Board To LiveStream Meetings Starting Aug. 10


Central York School District’s Board of School Directors will return to meeting in person at the Educational Service Center for the public Planning Meeting on Monday, August 10, 2020. The meeting will begin at 6:30PM and will be live streamed so that anyone interested in attending the meeting may watch via a link (to be provided).

How To Attend:
Because of the current limits on public gatherings, in-person attendance at these meetings will be limited to School Board members and some administrators. Members of the public interested in attending the meeting may do so by viewing the live stream.

How To Comment:
Anyone interested in commenting during the live streamed meetings should submit comments to the Board Secretary, who will read them publicly during the Citizen Comment section of each meeting. There are two public Citizen Comments times provided during each School Board meeting. 

Comments may be submitted to be read during the first public comment section of the meeting, which occurs shortly after the meeting begins. For those wishing to comment during the second opportunity, please submit them during the meeting and prior to that item on the agenda. 

All comments should be submitted directly to the Board Secretary, via email, at Please include a full name with each comment.

Updated REopening Schools Presentation - July 20, 2020

Central York School District is moving forward with a Total Reopening as selected in June 2020. The details of what this means are included in the Reopening Presentation and Health and Safety Plans included below. For families who do not want to send children to school in-person, there are three remote learning options available.

For families who were not able to attend the Board meeting and who would like to learn more about the various learning options, we encourage you to watch the screencast of the presentation. Dr. Snell and Mr. Billet provide detailed explanations of each learning option.
